I began this blog a year ago & called it 'my journey to wellness'. It still is - but its so much more than that now that I have 'come out of the closet' so to speak. Battling with fertility issues. Doing our darndest to overcome them any way possible. Seeking support of and offering support to same.
Hi Songcatcher....thank you for finding me - yes, we do have similar stories, and we both live in Ontario. You are absolutely not alone, my dear - I'm sorry about your wretched experience with the specialist and about the FSH - btw, what was your FSH on Day 3? Did you ever have that taken? If you're reading my blog, you'll find all kinds of things out about my journey - feel free to e-mail anytime with questions (verymadhatter@live.com)...in the meantime, those two lines from your FMU (first morning urine) may have been accurate - the later in the day you take your test, the more diluted your urine and therefore the less likely the test will detect the HCG in your system. So take another test first thing in the morning and see what's what! Crossing my fingers for you! Love, Maddy
Hi Maddy - thank you so much for responding to me. Just seeing you here on my blog has brought tears to my eyes!
I haven't had my FSH tested on day 3. The awful clinic doctor said that I needed to have that done - but since then I have not had a period. I'm on day 42 now.
My ND and I have decided that I am not going back to that clinic for a while. I'm going to wait a few months - really try to get my body to a good place thru diet, acupuncture, etc first - hopefully get back into regular cycles naturally, and THEN if I'm still not pregnant naturally, go back & get the testing. If my FSH comes back high on Day 3 they won't treat me or test me further - I become a write off.
I see my ND tomorrow, so I will get some more tests from her and POAS Thursday morning if there is still no AF (loving figuring out and getting to know these acronyms!). I guess my ND could order a day 3 blood test in the meantime for when I have a day 3....(boy this is an EXPENSIVE process!). Thank you so much for your kindness, your writing & sharing all that you have. I am SO glad I found you!! Wishing you wonderful things! Love, ~SCS
